Mom & Dad Japan is a project working toward a future where everyone can raise children with peace of mind. We aim to build a warm, supportive community where families connect and learn across cultures, through workshops and shared parenting information.

Creating a future where everyone can raise children with peace of mind.

Mom & Dad Japanは、代表自身の国際結婚と出産をきっかけに、2024年に立ち上がったプロジェクトです。日本での暮らしの中、とくに妊娠・出産期には、言葉の壁や情報不足による不安を何度も感じてきました。また、国際夫婦であるがゆえに、すべての情報を夫に通訳しながら進めなければならない負担も大きなものでした。

Mom & Dad Japan began in 2024, inspired by the founder’s own experience with international marriage and childbirth.
Living in Japan, especially during pregnancy and childbirth, brought many moments of uncertainty—often due to language barriers and lack of accessible information. As an international couple, there was also the constant pressure of having to interpret everything for her husband.

だから私たちは、すでにある大切な情報を、もっとわかりやすく、もっと届きやすくするしくみづくりを大切にしています。そのうえで、まだ整理されていない情報や、これまでになかった新しい視点も、少しずつ形にして届けていきたいと考えています。

同じような課題を抱える家庭に寄り添い、少しでも安心できる環境を届けられるよう、皆さまの力をお借りしながら活動を続けています。

We believe that when essential information seems “hard to find,” it’s often because it was never truly reaching those who need it. That’s why we’re focused on making existing information easier to understand and easier to access. At the same time, we aim to gradually create and share new perspectives and content that have yet to be fully addressed.

With your support, we hope to build a more welcoming environment for families facing similar challenges, and bring them a little more peace of mind.

2024年度は、子育ての段階ごとに異なるニーズを持つ国際家庭を対象に、京都市と宇治市でワークショップを開催しました。多文化家庭が抱える課題を共有し、日本での子育てに関する情報の取得状況や困りごとについて話し合いました。
In 2024, we held workshops in Kyoto and Uji for international families at different stages of parenting. Participants shared the challenges they face and discussed access to parenting-related information in Japan.

今年度は、2024年度の学びを活かし、子育て情報をまとめたプラットフォームを公開予定です。
This year, we plan to launch a parenting information platform based on what we learned in 2024.
